A plane has crashed into West Galveston Bay near a causeway. According to officials, four people were rescued, while search crews continue looking for two others believed to have been on board. It is not yet clear who among the missing or deceased are military personnel or civilians.
Multiple agencies, including the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and Texas DPS, responded. A dive team, crime scene unit, and drones have been deployed.
The Navy of Mexico stated the flight was on a medical support mission with the Michou and Mau Foundation when it “experienced an incident during its approach.”
