Basketball legend LeBron James has broken new ground by becoming the first professional male athlete to be transformed into a Ken doll. Mattel Inc. launched the LeBron Ken doll as part of its “Kenbassador” series, following last year’s release of nine female athlete Barbies, including tennis star Venus Williams.

Reflecting on the honor, James shared, “Growing up, I had role models who inspired me and proved that hard work pays off. Now, I recognize how important it is for kids to have positive figures to look up to. Partnering with Barbie on this doll is a privilege—it celebrates the power of role models who fuel dreams and show children they can achieve greatness.”

The doll features James in sunglasses, headphones, and a blue-and-white letterman jacket with “LJ,” his jersey number (23), and Ohio and crown patches. The back displays his name and “Just a kid from Akron,” while his T-shirt reads “We Are Family,” honoring his foundation. Completing the look are his signature Nike sneakers.
