The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Tinubu’s transformative leadership as his administration marks its midterm anniversary. Addressing journalists at the party’s national secretariat, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka stated that while Nigeria’s journey under Tinubu has faced challenges, the government remains steadfast in steering the nation toward prosperity.

Morka likened Tinubu’s governance to a determined driver navigating a crucial but bumpy road—one that distances Nigeria from past stagnation and sets it on a path of renewed hope. He emphasized that the administration’s bold reforms, though initially tough, were necessary to address deep-rooted economic distortions.

Key among these reforms were the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of exchange rates, which experts agree were critical for long-term stability. Despite short-term hardships, the economy has shown remarkable recovery, with GDP growth hitting 3.38% in Q4 2024, trade surpluses recorded, and foreign investments surpassing $50 billion.
Security has also improved, with over 13,500 terrorists neutralized and displaced persons returning home. Infrastructure development has been unprecedented, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, and 270 completed road projects.

In welfare, the administration raised the minimum wage to N70,000, introduced student loans, and revitalized healthcare with N80 billion allocated to primary health centers.
The APC acknowledged Nigerians’ resilience amid reforms and urged continued support for Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” promising even greater strides in the remaining tenure.
