Abuja, Nigeria –

On June 5, 2026, World Environment Day will be transformed into a massive global celebration of sustainable living with the launch of the Eco2Rhythm Festival. This flagship event aims to engage an unprecedented 3 billion citizens across 190 countries, merging culture with climate action to make environmental protection an accessible and joyful part of daily life.

The festival will leverage a digital token system to reward eco-friendly behaviors, channeling an estimated $300 billion in creative climate finance towards green startups and renewable energy projects. Key goals include tracking 19 billion green actions, creating 300 million green jobs, and distributing 30 billion Eco-tokens to participants.

Leadership figures have endorsed the festival’s unique approach. Ambassador Justin Duru, President General In Council of the Afro-Caribbean Network Initiative, stated, “The Eco2Rhythm movement proves that environmental responsibility can be rooted in joy, not guilt. It unites people across language and geography to act for the Earth, turning celebration into the most powerful form of citizenship.”

Echoing the theme of economic opportunity, Senator Ireti Heebah Kingibe, Deputy Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Ecology and Climate Change in Nigeria, noted, “As Africa leads global environmental renewal, initiatives like Eco2Rhythm demonstrate that climate action can drive both creativity and commerce.”

From an operational standpoint, Mr. Victor Wilkinson Agih, CEO of EcoRhythm Africa, emphasized the model’s efficiency: “Eco2Rhythm embodies the core idea behind the Global Green Goal mission — transforming culture into climate capital. Every purchase, every playlist, every post can create measurable environmental value.”

Ultimately, the festival seeks to make sustainability a cultural norm. Don Barber, a Creative Economy Advocate with the Crea82Green Nigeria Initiative, concluded, “When sustainability becomes stylish, and green choices become expressions of identity, we are no longer talking about change — we are living it.”

The Eco2Rhythm Festival is part of the broader Global Green Goal Rhythm (3GR) Festivals, a series of events designed to advance UN sustainability goals through global creativity and participation.
