Abuja, Nigeria –
On June 7, 2026, the Global BlueRiverian Festival will launch a worldwide movement to restore the planet’s waters, uniting 80 coastal nations and 2.5 billion citizens. As a flagship event of the Global Green Goal Rhythm (3GR) Festivals, it aims to channel $100 billion in blue impact finance towards ocean and river conservation, transforming World Sustainable Ocean and Blue Tourism Day into a massive, participatory restoration effort.
The initiative, branded the #BigBounceBlue Carnival, will mobilize coastal communities for large-scale cleanups, mangrove replanting, and coral reef restoration. Its goals include creating 10 million blue economy jobs, restoring 5 billion square meters of coastline, and tracking 20 billion citizen actions through a digital token reward system.
Leadership figures have voiced strong support for the campaign’s fusion of culture and conservation. Ambassador Justin Duru, President General In Council of the Afro-Caribbean Network Initiative, stated, “The ocean is our planet’s heartbeat, and protecting it must become humanity’s shared rhythm. This festival merges creativity and conservation — reminding us that our blue future depends on how well we harmonize with nature’s flow.”

Echoing the theme of economic resilience, Senator Ireti Heebah Kingibe, Deputy Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Ecology and Climate Change in Nigeria, said, “From the Niger Delta to the Indian Ocean, this initiative captures Africa’s leadership in the blue economy. It is more than celebration; it’s an investment in our coastal resilience and marine livelihoods.”
From a financial perspective, Mr. Victor Wilkinson Agih, CEO of EcoRhythm Africa, emphasized the innovative model: “We are building a new financial rhythm for the planet — one that converts art, tourism, and technology into measurable blue economy capital. Every ripple counts, every rhythm restores.”
The festival will also harness cultural power, with Don Barber, Creative Economy Advocate and CEO of Crea82Green Africa Initiative, noting, “When artists lend their voices to the waves, they remind us that culture is the bridge between emotion and action. This movement transforms compassion into conservation and music into marine renewal.”
The Global BlueRiverian Festival is part of the broader 3GR movement, which uses a tokenized impact marketplace to direct climate finance towards large-scale ecological restoration and youth-led innovation.
