European leaders demonstrated strong support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday. This followed U.S.-Ukrainian negotiations to revise a draft peace plan initially seen as favoring Russia. Concurrently, an envoy for Donald Trump traveled to Moscow for talks with the Kremlin.
Zelenskyy met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris and participated in a call with other European leaders, including from the UK, Germany, and the EU. Zelenskyy emphasized that ending the war “depends on the involvement of every leader.
“He acknowledged that recent talks with U.S. negotiators had not yet resolved all differences regarding the peace proposal, citing “some tough issues.” These discussions were held at a Florida resort owned by Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, who subsequently departed for Moscow to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
