The murder case against Tiffany Meek has been postponed by the High Court in Johannesburg, sitting at Palm Ridge Court in Ekurhuleni, until 10 March. The delay will allow the State to submit further particulars and review disclosure documents.
Meek faces five charges, including murder, child abuse, neglect, and defeating the ends of justice, following the death of her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek, in May 2024. She has previously denied killing the boy.
Looking tired and distressed, Meek appeared in court wearing a floral dress and burgundy cardigan for the brief hearing, which lasted under 15 minutes. The gallery was filled with community members supporting the young victim.
The State requested additional time to consider further evidence. Meek, who was denied bail in July 2025, remains in custody.
